VIST
NANGCHEN 2007
13th -
26th August 2007
In
March 2006, more than one year before His Eminence Trulshik Adeu
Rinpoche's passing, His Holiness the Twelfth Gyalwang Drukpa who
is the spiritual head of the Drukpa Lineage had a wonderful
meeting with Adeu Rinpoche in Beijing. During this time, Adeu
Rinpoche expressed his ardent wish for His Holiness to visit
Nangchen, and His Holiness agreed to do so. It was to be the first
time His Holiness visited Nangchen. His last visit to Nangchen was during
the last century, when he was the Tenth Gyalwang Drukpa Mipham
Chokyi Wangpo (1884-1930), who put on the Six Ornaments of Naropa
at the request of the King of Nangchen then.

His Holiness the Twelfth Gyalwang
Drukpa and His Eminence the Eighth Trulshik Adeu Rinpoche
This
visit between 13th and 26th August 2007
was organized by Tshechu Monastery, under the guidance of Adeu
Rinpoche, before he left this world. Unfortunately, Adeu Rinpoche passed into
parinirvana at around noon time on 27th July 2007, due to
deteriorating health. His Holiness the Twelfth Gyalwang
Drukpa requests all members and friends of the Drukpa
Lineage to make lamp offering and engage in spiritual
practice sincerely to pray for the swift return of
Rinpoche, one of the most celebrated heroes of the Dragon
Lineage in today's troubled times. His Holiness said,
"Kyabje Adeu Rinpoche was the most precious master of
our lineage. He was the only surviving master who holds the
complete transmissions and teachings of the Drukpa Lineage. His
passing is a great loss to all of us. It is very rare to
find a genuine master like Kyabje Adeu Rinpoche. As each
of these genuine masters is queuing up to leave us, one
after the other, it is important for us to appreciate the presence
of the living genuine masters, to learn from them and to practice
under their guidance."
His
Holiness visited Nangchen according to the
original plan, to fulfill Rinpoche's final wish. During
his visit, he constantly expressed his appreciation
towards Adeu Rinpoche, for upholding the lineage in
Nangchen.
Precious
human existence, the rare opportunities to meet with genuine
spiritual masters, and to go on
a spiritual journey with H.H. the Twelfth Gyalwang Drukpa, and to
have the
great fortune of receiving teachings and transmissions from these
great masters together with many other Rinpoches, Tulkus, yogis,
yoginis, monks, nuns and qualified practitioners - all these
wonderful conditions took place during the visit Nangchen in
August 2007.
We will keep this website
and continue to provide updates on the latest development and news
of the many monasteries of the Drukpa Lineage in Nangchen, so that
everyone who visits this website will be able to make a connection
with Nangchen, a spiritual practitioners' pureland. |
