15th August 2007 - From Yushu to Nangchen

Tshechu Gompa, the traditional seat of Adeu Rinpoche since 5th Adeu Rinpoche's time. It used to be the royal palace of Nangchen. The 4th Adeu Rinpoche took rebirth as the prince of Nangchen, and the 5th Adeu Rinpoche's mother, the queen, refused to return the child to Trulshik Gompa, she instead offered the royal palace to be the monastic center for her beloved son. In front of the gompa is a small hill of mani stones, collected over 200 years, and it was never moved or destroyed. The late Adeu Rinpoche said that when a self-arising pillar grows from this collection of mani stones, it would be the time when his future incarnation attains Perfect Buddhahood, at that time the blessings granted by this holy site would be equivalent to receiving the Buddha's blessings in Bodhgaya.
